Hello Spring!

With the kind of weather we're having in Manila these days (around 90's or hotter I guess) makes me miss spring time in Chicago. The weather is cold but gentle on the skin and there's flowers everywhere. These are some of our afternoon weekend strolls at the Millenium park.

Don't you just love it? If I could go back in a time machine, I would right at this very minute.
And oh, I love tulips. They're everywhere in Chicago but they're freaking expensive here. I never ask my husband to buy me those on Valentine's day, it's ridiculous!

I hope I made you smile today just by posting these lovely pictures. Have a good one.

Errands and Buffalo Wings

After a long day running errands on a weekend with the husband, I was too tired to make dinner. We decided to eat out at Sunrise Buckets near our condo at The Grove Rockwell. I liked the buffalo wings here when I'm craving for Hooters'.

You'd shell out about 500-600Php for a bucket of 6, rootbeer and a mini bucket of fries. Not too expensive eh? It's worth a try.

Cookie Butter + Pancakes? Yes, please.

Today is my husband's real birthday. He doesn't want big celebrations. So what better way to perk up his morning is a good breakfast.  Store bought pancake mix + cookie butter from Trader Joe's and lots of banana and strawberries = love.

Try it, it's heavenly! Bet your husband would love it too much that he'd take you out on a shopping spree after (winks).
Have a great week everyone!

Happy Birthday to the Man That Rocks My World!

I love you to bits and pieces, to the moon and back! My husband, lover and friend. I thank God from the day you were born into this world. What would I do without you?

Cheers to more years together. May we live and travel as long as our feet can carry us.

Outfit Post: Color-blocked and Preppy SunDate

When I am not in the mood to dress up, my go-to uniform is a preppy shirt and jeans. This should be part of everyone's wardrobe. It's a fail-safe rule in the fashion arena. Just spice it up a little bit with a statement necklace and voila! Instant glam factor. I've always loved color in my outfit because they make me happy and lifts my spirit especially when you're feeling under the weather. Tip: when wearing bright-colored ensemble always wear nude makeup.

Shirt- Lacoste, Jeans-Levis, Necklace- Mag's Closet, Bag- Balenciaga, Watch- Casio
After the Sunday mass at St. John Paul Parish in Eastwood, we had lunch at Ramen bar. I had been craving for anything Japanese the past few days and I am so glad we did today. I love their ramen noodles. THIS goes in the book of my favorite restaurant to date.

The appetizer alone is enough as main course. I almost didn't finish my noodles because of this.

My order. I forgot what it's called. I think this was the spicy chicken.
My husband's order.

Overall, I like Ramen bar. But no, I think I LOVE it!

Archie's for MAC Launch at Trinoma Mall

I've always been an Archie's fan since I was a kid. I grew up with them and I still remember how I'd spend my lunch break at school reading the comic books borrowed from one of my classmates. I loved Betty back then, the all-American blonde girl. I even want my hair colored like her before but didn't get the chance to.

I was excited to know that MAC Cosmetics was doing a make-up line dedicated for all the Archie's fan all over the world. The moment I knew they were launching it at some of the MAC stores in Manila, I was ecstatic! We went to Trinoma to test some of the make-up. Unfortunately we weren't luck enough to buy anything from the line as most of the items were sold out. Oh well, at least I had the chance to get a photo op with Betty and Archie.

Outfit of the day: Dress- Bettina, Shoes-Forever21, Bag-Vintage, Earrings-HK, Watch-Casio
I had a short make-up sesh with the ladies from MAC. I tried on Betty's lippie

At least I got a souvenir.

Outfit Post: SaturDate Night

Weekends means a day out for me. Luckily the husband was in the mood to go out and dine. It was a bit chilly last night so I got to wear my knitted sweater fresh from my favorite boutique in Cagayan de Oro.

Light make-up and pink lippie from MAC "Dress it Up"

My favorite ensemble so far. Jeans- Mango, Shoes-Steve Madden, Bag- Balenciaga, Sweater- Bettina, Earrings-Mag's Closet, Watch- Casio

Date night usually consists of a good meal, a movie and sometimes a stroll around the mall. My kind of cardio. We ate at my favorite greek restaurant - CYMA in Eastwood mall.
The famous greek salad. Loved it!

Garlic and Tomtato pasta tossed in Olive oil

This was my favorite. I forgot the name.
It's a bit pricey but the food is good. My husband believes that "you get what you pay for" and it's true most of the time. This may not be our weekly date night spending but sometimes it's nice to splurge. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Outfit Post: Scarf Print Skirt + Denim Shirt

Spring is my favorite season in the US. I miss it today so I tried to incorporate it into my Sunday family brunch outfit. Denim shirts should be worn like jeans. They can be paired with just about anything in your closet. The possibilities are endless. Just be creative and have fun!

I paired mine with a scarf print skirt I got a few years back, a funky necklace and some nude flats and my Balenciaga bag.
